DESCRIPTION:Born in Ghana and based in Vancouver, alt-pop up-and-comer MAUVEY’s work has garnered critical acclaim from around the world. With influences of rock, punk, alternative, and electronic, Mauvey cites influences such as Michael Jackson, Future Islands, Prince, Coldplay, FKA, TWIGS, or Labrinth, but has a sound uniquely his own. MAUVEY was named on Why Now’s Ones To Watch List for 2023. The fast-rising star now prepares a new EP, Before The Album 2 (featuring a collaboration with electro-pop hitmaker Lights), and is due to release in late 2023.
