Kobo Town’s blend of calypso, ska, dancehall and dub has made them favourites wherever they go, but their music has truly found a second home here on the west coast. Their chilled-out but bouncy island vibes and satirical storytelling fit perfectly here on the sunny BC coast.

The last time Kobo Town visited us was for a show-stopping set headlining Thursday night of last year’s Victoria Ska & Reggae Fest, where they played a career-spanning set that kept the dance floor hot long after the sun went down. There are not many bands we could think of more fitting to help propel us down the road as Kobo Town.
Also joining us for this part of the journey is one of the true gems of the west coast reggae scene and one of our favourite groups, PHONOSONICS. Their untouchable harmonies, supple horns and old-school grooves have delighted audiences throughout BC.

There is probably not another group in the area that delivers such passionate and authentic 60’s & 70’s sounding rocksteady, reggae and ska.
