Porteau Cove Howe Sound – Scuba Diving

Porteau Cove is on the east shore of Howe Sound in Montagu Channel at latitude 49.33’N.  The park is open all year; toilets, launch ramp, walk-in campsites, hiking trails and a picnic area.  Tiny Porteau Cove itself has 1 mooring buoy.  Sunken ships and man-made reefs provide excellent scuba diving.  White cautions buoys mark the yellow-buoyed diving area.  Watch your depths; some of the coved dries at low tide.
