Fulford Harbour Salt Spring Island

Fulford Harbour Salt Spring Island.  Fullford Harbour is wide and open.  A public dock for locals only is located on the north side of the ferry terminal.  On the south side of the ferry terminal is a public float with transient moorage that is exposed to wind and ferry wash.  The charming village of Fullford has a restaurant, a good grocery store at the Salt Spring Mercantile, and an assortment of art galleries and stores specializing in crafts and country clothes.  Everything feels very “island”

By all means take a 15-minute walk down the road to St. Paul’s Catholic Church (called the Stone Church), built-in 1880.  The graveyard, with island history chiselled into its headstones, is adjacent.

Bus transportation: Regular bus service on Saltspring Island connects Fulford Village, Ganges, Long Harbour, Vesuvius and Fernwood.

Fulford Outer Harbour – Harbour Authority of Salt Spring Island.  Open all year.  A public wharf and float are located immediately south of the BC Ferries terminal, managed by the Harbour Authority of Salt Spring Island.   The 54-foot public flat provides moorage on both sides.  Overnight moorage permitted.  No water, no power.  Payment envelopes, moorage rate, and a self-pay box are located on the wharf.   Locals tend to use this float primarily for loading and unloading purposes.

Fulford Inner Harbour – Harbour Authority of Salt Spring Island  Located just north of the BC Ferries terminal is a public dock filled with local boats; no space for transient boats.
