Princess Cove Anchorage Gulf Islands
Princess Cove. Princess Cove is just northwest of Conover Cove and has room for quite a few boats to anchor. Mooring eyes for stern-ties, usually marked with red or yellow-painted arrows, are set in the rock along the shoreline. Chain hangs from some of the mooring eyes. Absent the chains, at low water you have to be part mountain goat to get to several of those eyes. Set the anchor carefully in 18 to 24 feet (deeper toward the mouth of the cove), and maintain an anchor watch if the wind comes up. A dinghy dock is on the west side of the cove for convenient access to hiking.
