Quick Stop Over Heading to Victoria International Marina from Vancouver

Another nice anchorage midway between Vancouver and Victoria is Port Browning. On the southeast end of North Pender Island in Plumper Sound, you will find a quiet anchorage in 8m of water. Nicely sheltered from the Summer’s afternoon North Westerlies and tucked away from any passing Ferryboat swells.

Here you will find a small marina that has a quiet little pub and just a small stroll up a country lane past grazing cows leads to a little village with a grocery store, hardware store, coffee shop and even a public dog bath. It’s a quintessential Gulf Island experience and a must-stop if you need any supplies or a leg stretch.
