Sturdies Bay Anchorage

Sturdies Bay Anchorage.  Sturdies Bay, on Galiano Island toward the eastern end of Active Pass, is a landing for ferries coming to and from Tsawwassen and continuing on to the other Gulf Islands.   A public float is alongside the ferry dock.  The community of Sturdies Bay, just up the road, has a grocery store, shops and a post office.  Galiano Oceanfront Inn & Spa is south of the ferry landing and has its own dock.

Sturdies Bay is a convenient stop to exchange crew arriving from or departing from the mainland on the BC Ferries.  They can disembark the ferry, walk across to the provincial dock, and board the boat.
