Canoe Cove Marina & Boatyard

Located 2300 Canoe Cove Road, North Saanich Monitors VHF 66A.  Open all year, gasoline, diesel, propane at the fuel dock, 30 & 50 amp power, washrooms, showers, laundry, 24 our customs clearance at the fuel dock and free Wi-Fi.  This is a 450-berth marina with permanent and visitors moorage.  Best to call ahead.

Navigate carefully on approach.  A number of islands and rocks surround the entrance to Canoe Cove.  They are well marked on the charts and easily avoided as long as you pay attention.

Canoe Cove Joe’s Cafe is in the center of the marina, and the excellent Stonehouse Restaurant is nearby.  A short trail leads to the Swartz Bay ferry terminal for arriving or departing guests from Tsawwassen, on the BC mainland.  A harbour taxi shuttle connects the marina with Sidney.  Pacifica Paddle Sports at Canoe Cove offers kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rentals along with lessons and tours.

Canoe Cove’s major thrust is its environmentally friendly full repair facility.  They recently added a new 83-ton Travellife, and they have extensive covered work areas and a well-stocked chandlery now run by Vector Marine.  The staff and management are friendly and competent.
