Yacht Concierge Services at VIM: Creating Remarkable Experiences on Canada’s Coast
Introducing Yacht Concierge Services at VIM
This summer took me on some unforgettable adventures, like travelling the entire 6 hour journey from Victoria to Port Hardy, located at the northern end of Vancouver Island, and tackling fun and challenging yacht concierge services like sourcing kangaroo steaks, hand-selecting rare fruits and vegetables, and even delivering last-minute caviar and white truffles to BC’s most northern coastal community, Prince Rupert. Standing on the docks in these remote ports, watching amazing tender-vessels shuttle guests to and from their yachts, I am reminded of just how unique and exciting this chapter of my work is.
At Victoria International Marina, I’ve had the privilege of evolving my role from Event Director to leading our Concierge Services for yachting clients—a natural extension of what our team has long provided. What does that mean?
In short, our Concierge team acts as a trusted partner for yachts, working closely with captains, chief stews, and chefs to enrich their time on the Canadian Pacific coast. From building custom itineraries and securing the best restaurant reservations, to provisioning groceries and specialty goods for voyages of up to two weeks at sea—and for yachts carrying as many as 30 crew and guests—we take pride in handling every detail. Whether it’s guidance on border crossings and crew changes, or arranging on-board visits from doctors and veterinarians, our goal is always the same: to deliver remarkable experiences with the efficiency, discretion, and local knowledge that define Victoria International Marina.
Beyond Luxury Provisions: Safety and Trust at Sea
One of the most exciting part of being a Concierge is the challenge of being ready for almost anything. On Victoria Day long weekend, we received an emergency call from a very isolated area near Waddington Harbour/Bear Bay on the northeast side of Vancouver Island. A crew member had been injured in an ATV rollover and required immediate evacuation. Within minutes, we coordinated with Grizzly Helicopters in Campbell River, and less than one hour later, the patient was safely on their way to the hospital. It was a powerful reminder that yacht concierge services aren’t just about luxury provisions, they’re about trust, safety, and reliability when it matters most.
This summer, we had the privilege of supporting four incredible yachts, the largest at 290 feet. It is always incredible to see behind-the-scenes at just how many skilled people it takes to ensure superyacht experiences run smoothly. Captains, crew and owners can rely on our yacht concierge services to make their experience more seamless, whether sourcing world-renowned chefs, organizing courier services, developing itineraries, booking repairs, or locating rare wines for onboard dining – we want to see everyone have the most remarkable experience possible.
Extraordinary Voyages through the Pacific Northwest
This year my work took me far beyond Victoria and the home port of Victoria International Marina. Adventurers relied on our support along all 27,000 kms of shoreline from the Southern and Northern Gulf Islands, up the Inside Passage and on to Alaskan waters. These areas are breathtaking in their beauty and remoteness, offering our yachting clients a life-altering experience I feel privileged to help shape.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Alongside provisioning, we also arranged wine tours, salmon and halibut fishing trips, private car service, private flights, bunkering, and crew-related support. From specialty Asian seafood and delicacies at Victoria’s new HMart, to fresh catch from Finest at Sea, to vibrant florals from our trusted local partners, every detail helps elevate the onboard experience.
As we look ahead to 2026, my team is excited to continue growing this service, working with more clients to support extraordinary voyages from Victoria, BC all the way to Anchorage, AK or wherever they might venture . If you’re planning to cruise our waters, whether on your own, supported by crew or running a charter, we are here to help make your Canadian Pacific adventure a truly remarkable experience.
