Cypress Harbour Anchorage
Cypress Harbour. Cypress Harbour is a pretty spot, but a large fish farm occupies part of Miler Bay, and an old logging operation is in Berry Cove farther in. Good anchorage, removed from the fish farm and logging, is in lovely Stopford Bay, in the southeast corner of Cypress Harbour. Be sure to avoid the charted rock. We’ve had a report of a stretch of logging cable lying on the bottom a short distance before the rock is reached. Correspondent Gil Flanagan resorts a pleasant 1/4 mile walk leads from the campground to a rock grotto and pond. The old road continues to a meadow about a mile farther along and keeps going. Watch the depths in Stopford Bay; the bottom grows increasingly shoal until it becomes drying flats. Recommended if you want a quiet, tucked-away anchorage.
