Port Alexander Anchorage
Port Alexander. Port Alexander, indenting Nigei Island west of Browning Passage, is a good anchorage for boats bound for Cape Scott or around Cape Caution. Anchor near the head in 50 to 60 feet. The beach is good for dog walking. The westerly wind blows in across the island but has no fetch for seas to build. The west side of the bay seems more protected than the east. The accumulation of large logs on the beach indicates that this is no place to be in a southerly storm.
