Sullivan Bay Marina Resort
Sullivan Bay Marina Resort monitors VHF 66A. Fuel open year-round, store and moorage seasonal. Services include gasoline diesel, propane, 15, 30 & 50 amp power, water, washroom, showers, laundry, excercise room and free Wi-Fi at the happy hour tent for moored guests.
Everything except the fuel storage tanks is on floats, in cozy float houses that date from the mid-20th century. Guests often gather around 5:00 pm for drinks and appys at the “Sullivan Square” area. Golfers can try their hands on the I-hole golf course. Depending on tide and wind, the floating target is 100 – 140 yards out.
Sullivan Bay is legendary among cruising boaters. It has ample moorage (3,000 feet), a well stocked store with liquor agency, bait and tackle, and is pet friendly. They also offer fresh baked pastries, pies, and cinnamon buns. The restaurant is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a fixed price, buffet style dinner; we are told it is quite good.
This is a popular tunaround point for Broughtons cruisers. Daily floatplant service to Seattle and elsewhere. Boat sitting available. The resort offers fishing charters. The annual July 4th celebration and parade on the docks is hugely popular. Reservations recommended.
A community of handsome vacation float homes occupies a portion of the Sullivan Bay moorage. Improvements continue every year. Debbie Holt and Chris Scheveers are the attentive managers.
