Poets Cove Resort in Bedwell Harbour Pender Island

Poets Cove Marina is a perfect day trip from Victoria International Marina.  Located on South Pender Island 9801 Spalding Road 250-629-2100; 250-629-2111.

Poets Cove Marina is open all year, gasoline, diesel, and ice at the fuel dock.  Guest moorage to 100 feet in 95 slips and side tie, 30 amp power.  If slips are filled, a floating dock is available at a reduced rate for smaller vessels.   Liquor store, cafe, pub with dining, heated pool, hot tube spa, Eucalyptus steam cave, fitness center and free Wi-Fi.  Coin-operated laundry machines are located adjacent to the pool.

The casual Mooring Cafe is located in the building adjacent to the pool, serves sandwiches and coffee, has convenience items, and sells liquor.  Syrens Bistro and Lounge, open April through October, serves lunch and dinner noon to 9:00 p.m. and has seating indoors or out on the patio, Aurora, a fine dining venue, serves breakfast and dinner, open May through September.

Poets Cove has plenty of activities.  Book an aerial whale watching excursion, rent a bike or kayak and explore the island, play a round of golf, or try out the disc golf course.

Customs clearance dock is adjacent to Poets Cove Marina and well marked.  Open from May 1st to September 30th.   Except for landing, only the skipper can leave the boat until customs is cleared.  The procedure is for the captain to go up the ramp to the direct-line telephones along the wall of the customs office.  Have all the vessel’s paperwork and crew’s passport information ready.   Call in for clearance.  In most cases, the agent on the telephone will give you a clearance number, but you may be asked to stand by for agents to inspect your vessel.   More information can be found in our partners Waggoner Cruising Guide.
