Walsh Cove Marine Park Desolation Sound
Walsh Cove Marine Park. Walsh Cove Marine Park is a beautiful little spot with room for a few boats to anchor on a rocky bottom. Enter Walsh Cove from the south. At the north end of the cove, a rock-strewn reef connects Gorges Island to West Redonda Island. The middle of the cove is deep. Most boats anchor near shore with stern ties to rocks or trees.
The cove is well protected from down-channel winds but open to up-channel winds from the south. Two sets of Native pictographs are at Butler Point.
