Chemainus Municipal Dock – Chemainus Marina

Chemainus Municipal Dock monitors VHF 66A.  Day and overnight moorage, 30 & 50 amp power, water, washrooms, showers, garbage drop, pump out and Wi-Fi.  Make moorage reservations directly with the marina by phone or email; they have no relationship with third-party booking services.  A nice laundromat is 1 1.2 blocks away at 9870 Cross Street.  This marina, with slips and sid-tie, is next to the ferry terminal.  Reservations recommended.  Every two hours fro morning to night, the ferry arrives and rolls things around a little.  It’s not bad, but first-time visitors should be aware of the wake.

Visitor boats will tie along 175 feet on the outside of the main dock or moor in slips on the inside of the main dock.  Because Chemainus is a popular day stop, landing fees have been instituted – $6 under 40 feet and 12 over 40 feet.  They found that the docks were full during the day then empty at night, and they need moorage incode to maintain the facility.  The irrepressible Harmen Bootsma is the manager.
