Denman Island Anchorage

Denman Island.  Denman Island has a public dock and 60-foot float alongside the landing for the cable ferry that runs to Buckley Bay on Vancouver Island.   Six hours of moorage is free, 2-day maximum stay.  No power or water; 5 mooring buoys.  Self-registration and payment box at the top of the ramp.  Denman Village is a one-third-mile walk up a steep hill.  The Denman General Store with groceries, a post office, and a liquor store is in Denman Village A small museum, community center, bistro, and a craft shop are also in the Village.

The north end of Denman  Island stretches out into a long spit, dotted with small islands and rocks.  One of these islands, Sandy Island, is a provincial park.  Off the south end of Denman Island is Chrome Island lighthouse, a dramatic landmark.
