Desolation Sound Water Temperature

Desolation Sound is a popular marine area where many of our yachters head during the summer months. The water temperature in Desolation Sound can vary throughout the year due to seasonal changes. Generally, during the summer months (June to September), the water temperature in Desolation Sound can range from around 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F) or even slightly higher, making it a relatively pleasant place for boating, swimming, and other water activities.

During the winter months, the water temperature drops significantly and can be quite cold, typically ranging from around 8°C to 12°C (46°F to 54°F) or lower. It’s important to note that these temperature ranges are approximate and can vary depending on specific weather patterns, currents, and other factors.
