Egmont Anchorages

Egmont.  Egmont, on the Sechelt Peninsula, is near the entrance to Skookumchuck Narrows and Sechelt Rapids.  Sechelt Inlet lies beyond the rapids.  Backeddy Resort & Marina and Bathgate General Store & Marina both have fuel.  Backeddy Resort & Marina fronts on Skookumchuck Narrows;  Bathgate is closer to the rapids, behind a well-marked reef in Secret Bay.  The public dock is adjacent.  Beautiful West Coast Wilderness Lodge, with fine dining and more, is immediately south and up the hill from Backeddy Resort & Marina.  It’s an easy walk between the two, and the view from the dining room and deck at West Coast Wilderness Lodge is a knockout.    The Egmont Heritage Centre is a short walk up the main road from the marinas.
