Resolution Cove West Coast Vancouver Island
Resolution Cove. Historic Resolution Cove is on Bligh Island, near the south end of Clerke Peninsula. In March, 1778, Captain Cook anchored his tow ships there and found and fitted a new foremast for the Resolution. A flagpole and plaques commemorating Cook’s visit have been placed on the knoll about the cove. Anchor in 40 to 50 feet, with a stern-tie to shore or enough room to swing. You’ll probably make your visit a short one. Swells from the ocean wrap around Clerke Peninsula into the cove.
