Squamish Harbour Authority – Squamish Marina

Squamish Harbour Authority is open all year.  Located near downtown Squamish with 2000 lineal feet of dock space and 200 feet of summer transient moorage.  Next to the Squamish Yacht Club.  It has pump-out, 15 amp power, washrooms, showers and boat launch.   The docks are full in the winter, but one up a little in the summer; definitely call ahead.   Expect a relaxed, informal experience.  They don’t get many visitor boats.

The town of Squamish has a population around 15,000, is nestled against the Coast Range mountains at the north end of Howe Sound, on the road between Vancouver and Whistler.  Since the 2010 Winter Olympics at nearby Whistler, Squamish has become a pretty vibrant place.  A bus runs to Whistler, or you can rent a car.  Shopping and two golf courses are an easy drive away.  The superb Furry Creek course is a little farther.   The new Sea to Sky Gondola is about 2.5 miles from the docks and the views from the top are outstanding.  The shopping district is about one-quarter mile from the docks, and the pubs are closer.  Summertime inflow winds usually begin between 11:00 am and noon.  By 2:00 pm, the wind can make landing tricky.  Best to go to Squamish in the early morning.
