Squitty Bay Lasqueti Island Anchorage
Squitty Bay. Squitty Bay Lasqueti Island is a tiny, narrow and shallow notch at the southeast corner of Lasqueti Island. It would be harrowing to enter Squitty Bay in a roaring southeasterly, but at other times entry should be easy. Rocks border the north side of the entrance; favour the south side. The unnamed point on the south side of Squitty Bay is an ecological reserve, noted for prickly pear cactus and Rocky Mountain Juniper. The public dock, 150 feet long, maybe largely occupied by local boats. Rafting is permitted. Ashore, the trees in this area are ben and broken, obviously by strong winds. Tall trees are rare. A walk along the road is fascinating.
