Union Steamship Marina Bowen Island
Union Steamship Marina located on Bowen Island monitors VHF 66A. Open all year, ample guest moorage, pump-out, 30 & 50 amp power, a boaters lounge with washrooms and showers, laundry, free Wi-Fi. The washroom and shower building, one of the finest on the coast, also includes a comfortable lounge with a big-screen TV and a computer station, all near the showers and laundry.
This is an excellent place to stop. Rondy Dike, an architect by training, and his wife Dorothy have restored the Union Steamship Co. landing into a wonderful destination resort. Their daughters, Oydis Dike Nickle, and her husband Dean, now manage the resort and marina. The staff is attentive and standing by to help. A lovely boardwalk leads from the marina, connecting several shops, cafes, and Doc Morgan’s Pub & Restaurant. Easy walking trails are found through the adjacent 600-acre park. It seems that everyone who stays at Union Steamship has a good report. Reservations are recommended.
Snug Cove Public Wharf is a wide concrete dock, with 350 feet of space, is next to the ferry landing in Snug Cove and exposed to ferry wash. No water or electricity.
