Prevost Island Anchorage Gulf Islands

Prevost Island is a favourite of many.  Annette Inlet and Glenthorne Passage, on the northwest end, are particularly attractive.  The bays indenting from the southeast also look inviting, but with a southeastern always possible and with ferry traffic flying by in Swanson Channel, they might get a little lumpy.

Acland Islands.  The passage between the Acland Islands and Prevost Island is a pleasant anchorage, with dramatic sheer rock walls on the Prevost Island side.  Anchor in 25 to 35 feet with enough room to swing, or stern-tie to Acland Island.

Glenthorne Passage.  Glenthorne Passage is the westernmost of the northern bays on Prevost Island.   Well-protected anchorage in 15 to 30 feet, good holding.  Even though cabins line Secret Island, the surroundings are agreeable and the anchorage is popular.  In the summer months the sunsets in the narrow passage between Glenthorne Point and Secret Island.
